Join us in celebrating GAAD 18 May!
This year, we are celebrating the Global Accessibility Awareness Day, GAAD, at our headquarters in Stockholm. Many other organisations around the world are active at the same time, which makes this a joint effort to spread the word.
We hope to reach people that don’t know a lot about accessibility from before. If you happen to be in Stockholm, feel free to drop by – everything is for free!
Breakfast is served from 08.00 and the open house is on until 12.00.
During this half day, you will get to experience how persons with different abilities surf the web and you also have the opportunity to try assistive technology and ask questions on anything that has to do about accessibility and usability.
Among other things we will show user situations with
- Visually impaired and blind
- Partially sighted
- Motor impairments
- Reading- and writing impairments
- Cognitive disabilities
In addition, we will show you how our user testing is done using eye-tracking and you will get the opportunity to try playing digital games in brand new ways – without using all your senses.
Or take a chance to explore accessibility in built environments by riding a wheelchair or walk around with a simulated visual disability.
GAAD is open for everybody and of course free of charge, but we ask you register so that we can get an idea of how much coffee to prepare.
