My role at Funka

As a research assistant I seek out, plan and structure funding opportunities within research and innovation. I help and support project management and project coordinators with administration, time reporting, budget documentation, travel planning and organizing meetings. My tasks include also searching and coordinating project partners.

The driving force of the job

It is extremely important for me to feel that my work makes a difference and that I am a part of an organization which strives for making the world a better place. Funka’s business and values are in line with everything I myself stand for and believe in, which makes me smile every morning!

Previous jobs

Before joining Funka, I worked as a program officer for the Erasmus+ program at the Swedish Agency for Youth and Civil Society. I have also worked as the executive manager at the organization for blind and visually impaired children and youth. I have an academic background in social studies with a major in philosophy.

Personal

I’m originally from Poland but I’ve been leaving in Sweden since 2005. I am a very open person who has a genuine interest in people and who like to learn from others.

During my spare time I love to hang out with my friends and family, however my own “me time” I dedicate to a good book, a glass of wine, music and…chocolate – my passion!

I live in Stockholm, Bromma together with my husband Henrik and our son Arvid.
