My role at Funka
I am Head of Funka’s Web Development Unit.
The driving force of the job
I enjoy the challenge in showing how advanced design can be made more accessible and usable for all. I am a staunch believer in standards as a way of promoting a common language that benefits technology development.
Before starting at Funka I gained experiences as a Web Developer at Market Makers Technology. At MMT a lot of time went into developing the online training sessions in derivatives and shares for the stock markets in Stockholm and Oslo. I also took part in developing Sweden’s first accessibility project on the web, the portal Funka.Nu, on assignment from handikapp.se. I have also spent a couple of years at different universities in Sweden.
My spare time I spend with my family and friends, watching movies and discovering old and new music. I was raised in Sandviken, which explains my accent. I live by the motto “rather with quality than quantity”. At present I live on Värmdö outside Stockholm with my wife and kids Tåva and Hjalmar.
