My role at Funka
As Chief Research and Innovation Officer, I am trying my best to chose which ones of all the exciting ideas we are going to write proposals for, and I also lead some of the projects. I am providing strategic consultancy on policy, procurement and regulations. Besides that, I am a technical expert in several standardisation committées. And I am proud to be Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) through International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP).
The driving force of the job
It is a great privilege to work with the technology of the future on the terms of the user, and I have a wonderful creative team around me. Funka’s mission is exciting and important, we push the development and I dare to say that we change the world for the better. I would call us pragmatists rather than consultants. Everything we do is tested in real life, not once, but many. We know what we are talking about and we are not afraid of sticking our neck out. That is what makes it fun working for Funka.
My previous job was as CEO of Ideella Spel, a lottery company owned by the Swedish Association of the Visually Impaired. I have also been Communications Manager at the Independent Living Institute. I have worked as a consultant in media and communications and lead a number of major cultural projects in Sweden and Denmark. I am a classically trained musician and have toured the world and recorded several albums.
I like to enjoy life and live by the sea in the Stockholm archipelago. My spare time is spent on music, boats, food and wine.
