My role at Funka
I am working as a User Experience and Accessibility Expert at Funkas Oslo office.
The driving force of the job
As a UX designer, I have experienced that it is seldom easy to make simple solutions, especially without involving the users. Most preferably, I would like talk to all users of all solutions! Each of us has different prerequisites, and by spreading the message of good basic principles for design, even more people can participate in society, and we can reach more people than we think. To me, the value of accessibility is obvious, but the big challenge is to make this mindset a natural part of everyday life for any project participant.
I am an educated interaction designer and have previously worked with insight phases, concept design, detailed design and user testing in several major IT projects. Much of my experience is from public projects, where I have been part of both larger and smaller delivery teams.
After my workday, I like to go the gym before the knitwork awaits in my comfortable favourite chair back home, where I am also lucky to have a partner who makes fantastic food. To the surprise of my Swedish colleagues, I am at our cabin in the mountains as often as possible, especially when the ski trails are at their best!
