IAAP Nordic yearly conference in Stockholm

The International Association of Accessibility Professionals IAAP continues to grow all over the world, including in the Nordic countries. With sharpened demands on competence in the area of accessibility, an increasing number of IT companies are certifying their consultants in order to more easily be able to sell their services to the public sector.

The day before Funka Accessibility Days, March 31, the Nordic local chapter IAAP Nordic holds its annual conference. The conference is free for members, so if you become a member now you can enter for free! For non-members, the price is SEK 990 per person.

Last year's conference was a great success and this year's program continues to focus on the members' most important issues:

  • How to make your entire organization work with accessibility
  • How accessibility can become part of the organization's identity
  • How to make money on accessibility

The conference is hosted by the Swedish Information and Telecommunications Standardization, ITS, welcoming IAAP to its nice venue in Kista. The conference will be held in English.

It is often the certification that makes people become members of IAAP, says Frida Sandberg, project manager for IAAP Nordic. But once they become members, it is rather the community and the opportunity to share knowledge that they appreciate.

Make sure you combine IAAP Nordic's annual conference with Funka's Accessibility Days and you get three inspiring spring days of accessibility knowledge and inspiration.
