Funka promoted as key innovator by the European Commission

The European Commission´s Innovation Radar is highlighting the most innovative research projects and partners. Funka is acknowledged as a key innovator.

The Innovation Radar platform builds on the information and data gathered by independent experts involved in reviewing ongoing research and innovation projects funded by the European Commission. These experts also provided an independent view regarding the innovations in the projects and their market potential.

The research project listed by the Innovation Radar is called Easy Reading. It is managed by the University of Linz, where Funka together with Texthelp and groups of researchers with cognitive disabilities have been developing and testing a platform that gather tools and preferences to support users with cognitive impairment. The goal of the project is independence of users, no matter of abilities.

We are of course delighted to be promoted as key innovator, says Susanna Laurin, Chief Research and Innovation Officer at Funka. Especially for a project that builds upon our key recipe for success: involving the users.

The aim of the Innovation Radar is to make information about EU-funded innovations from high-quality projects visible and accessible to the public. This will show citizens the many excellent technological and scientific advances being delivered by researchers and innovators around Europe, funded on their behalf by the European Commission.
