The Norwegian State Housing Bank wins price at digitalization conference

Funka has done an expert audit report to ensure good accessibility in the services Application for Mortgage and Economic Support for Home adaptions and Establishment. During this year’s digitalization conference “Quality on line” the Norwegian State Housing Bank’s service Application for Mortgage won a price for best digital solution, congratulations to the Norwegian State Housing Bank!

The Norwegian State Housing Bank (NSHB) is the main agency implementing Norwegian housing policy on the national level. A shift has taken place from being a bank for mortgages to becoming a welfare state. It was founded in 1946 and has financed more than half of all homes in Norway since world war two.

First of all I think it is great that the NSHB makes an effort in the user experience and accessibility and it is of course always fun when one of our customers gets an award, says Daniel Sørensen, head of sales at Funka in Norway. The government has a vision of secure and good housing for all and the NSHB is responsible for realising this vision, Daniel continues. We are therefore very proud to have assisted the NSHB in making there services more accessible for all.
The target group of this work is, among others, persons with disabilities. It has been of great importance to us that the solution meets the needs the user might have, says project leader Trond Venger. We are very pleased with the work that Funka has done. They have provided useful insights and helped solve issues in the application before launch.

Funka’s expert audit report is based on the W3C’s guidelines in combination with our long experience in accessibility. Everything we recommend is tested in real life, with users. The audit was performed by our accessibility experts and with people using different types of assistive technology.

Funka is very grateful for the trust and we wish to congratulate the NSHB to the award.
