What economic effects does accessibility work provide in the EU member states?
Funka has been assigned to collect data on how organisations and companies trying to comply with accessibility standards can measure the results of their work. We are looking for information on for example increased costs, or positive results in the shape of more visitors, more satisfied clients, increased revenue or similar.
With funding from the European Commission, Funka’s Spanish partner Technosite leads a study called European Study 2009/0072 Study on Economic Assessment for Improving e-Accessibility services and products. Funka has been assigned to collect data from Sweden.
The project examines the costs and benefits of web accessibility. Moreover, a methodology is developed to measure how websites are used, before and after efforts on accessibility.
