EU policy and legislation

Do you work with communications or information, documents, external webs, intranets or apps within the public sector? Or do you deliver services, development, form, UX, content or other web-based products and services within the public sector? You need to understand what the Web Accessibility Directive entails. This training touches on everything you need to know.

On 23 September 2018, the Web Accessibility Directive entered into force in Sweden and all EU countries. The Directive covers the entire public sector and certain state and municipal companies. The Directive means that websites, extranets, intranets, documents and apps must meet the accessibility requirements in European standard EN301549. Additionally, any party covered by the Directive must declare their accessibility status, offer users the possibility of submitting feedback, information on alternative means of accessing the information, and link to a service for any complaints. It’s quite a lot to keep track of.
