User as Experts

At Funka, users are always the focal point. In the research project Users as Experts, we will have developed a framework to ensure that users' expertise is used at European level. This framework includes methods to identify user expertise, a typology of user expertise in web accessibility and a model curriculum for a user expertise course in web accessibility.

Funka are coordinators of the Users as Experts project and are joined by Synthesis, DiAS and Furuboda as partners.

Background and main objectives

Users as Experts aims to generate practical guidance on how to develop courses where lived experiences of persons at risk of exclusion can be transformed into key skills.
