Online workshop on cognitive accessibility, 25 November 2021

Welcome to an online workshop on solutions for digital cognitive accessibility, November 25th at 13:00-15:00 CET. This is the second workshop organized as part of a study funded by the European Commission on how to improve web accessibility for persons with cognitive disabilities. We are looking forward to exchanging views on how the web can become more inclusive!

The first workshop of the project that was held earlier this year provided much valuable information on issues of cognitive accessibility that many people struggle with and the consequences of these issues. Since then, the study has progressed to look at measures that can be taken to improve cognitive web accessibility and promote inclusion. The study team is carrying out a series of consultation activities including surveys and interviews with various stakeholders. Do not hesitate to  reach out if you would like to be involved!

In this second workshop we will present potential solutions found in the research so far. We would like to bring together end users with experiences of cognitive barriers on the web, researchers and experts on cognition to exchange experiences and insights on how solutions can complement each other and how different user needs can best be met.

The outcome of the workshop will inform the study in its effort to identify knowledge gaps and come up with practical proposals to improve independent and inclusive access to online content and services for everyone.

The workshop will start with a brief introduction of the study. This will be followed by an interactive presentation of the findings so far where the participants will be invited to share reflections and experiences on the potential solutions that have emerged from the research.

There will be no need for preparation. Just come as you are, we are eager to hear your thoughts on the subject!

Please do not hesitate to get back to us if you have any questions.
