Funka - EDF Digital Accessibility Update Recording

On June 10th, 2022 Funka and EDF co-organised another popular international Digital Accessibility Update. This time we focused on end user feedback and the UPower project.

End users are experts on (in)accessibility, That’s why their feedback is essential for website owners. But even though the Web Accessibility Directive requires that public sector websites and apps provide a feedback mechanism, this is still not always the case.  The idea behind the EU-funded research project Users Power WAD (UPower) is to empower end users and make sure public sector bodies take good care of the feedback provded.

In the UPower project, Funka is working together with the European Blind Union, the TU Dortmund University, and the Synthesis Center for Research and Education and the European Disability Forum.

During this webinar, the consortium presented and validated the findings about user feedback and feedback channels with stakeholders from more than 30 countries.

The update provided international sign and live captions in English, plus automatic translation into French, German, Greek, Spanish and Swedish.

The recording of the webinar is publicly available at the Funka R&I YouTube channel:
