Outcomes of the Workshop on Innovative Practices and Experiences Reference Site Asturias
On 14th of March a workshop was held on innovative practices and experiences at the Technological Center “Idonial” (Gijón).
The municipalities of Aviles, Gijon and Oviedo, the three largest cities in Asturias joined the initiative Reference Site Asturias. Therefore, to welcome the new members and at the same time to make known the practices and innovative experiences of each partner, this meeting was been organized for all the members.
The objective of workshop was to present the practices and innovative experiences of the Reference Site partnership. They are committed to promoting the development of active aging activities in the Principality of Asturias, with the aim of providing older people with resources and tools to improve their experience of old age, the quality and prolongation of their active life, the improvement of their habitat and creation of friendly environments and relationships, the prevention of dependency situations associated with age, improvement of well-being, participation, autonomy and healthy aging of the elderly people of our region.
