How to create accessible native mobile apps
In this course you will learn how to apply the existing guidelines and realise the benefits of apps. We cover the basics required to create accessible interfaces and how to work with testing and assistive technologies.
For whom?
The course is aimed at people who work with apps and want to learn more about how to think about accessibility and meet legal requirements in the public sector. Participants should have access to their own smartphone, iOS or Android, and preferably an external keyboard.
About the course
We go through what distinguishes apps and web from an accessibility perspective. How to match W3C's WCAG 2.1 guidelines when working with apps, providing practical examples and useful tips on how to test apps. We also go through navigation, logical structure and basic accessibility rules.
This course is an in-depth course on the subject. To get the most out of this course, we recommend that you first take the Introduction to Accessibility course.

How is the course delivered?
The course consists of two parts; a recorded course followed by a teacher-led one-day live session.
Self-paced course on-demand

Do you want to further improve your theoretical and practical skills? Maybe you have, or are about to enter, a role where deeper knowledge of accessibility is necessary? Or do you simply believe that you learn best and most from teacher-led training?
For you, we offer a complementary one-day session as an extension and continuation of the recorded basic course.
The course day consists of a live lecture and a workshop. The lecture provides broadened and deepened competence. The workshop includes application, discussion and practical exercises.

After the course
