Introduction to accessibility
This introductory course is aimed at those who have no or limited knowledge of accessibility. It also serves as a starting point for more advanced and specialised courses. The course provides the fundamentals across the area of digital accessibility. Choose to take the course on-demand and, to develop your knowledge, add a live session delivered by the Funka Accessibility Expert.

This course is aimed at those who know little - or nothing - about accessibility. No prior knowledge is required. Everyone is welcome.
It also serves as a starting point for more advanced and specialised courses.
About the course
Funka Academy's introductory course provides a solid foundation for starting an active work with digital accessibility in your organisation. You will learn what digital accessibility is, who is affected and how to navigate with different assistive devices. We go through statistics, briefly explain the law on digital accessibility and explain difficult concepts.
You will gain knowledge and understanding of why it is so important to start working with accessibility.

How is the course delivered?
Introduction to accessibility consists of two parts; a self-paced course followed by an optional live session taught by a Funka expert.
Self-paced course on-demand
With this self-paced course, you get a basic overview, but also the opportunity to focus on selected areas that you have a particular need for. You can access the course when it suits you. The course is divided into parts - take one or more at a time. You can also use the course as a knowledge base; the search function makes it easy to find what you need.
